Bernard Prillieux
After having exhibited for several years in the "Naïve and Primitive" Gallery in the heart of Saint Germain des Près in Paris, Bernard PRILLIEUX continues his quest for realism to, first, tackle the "Trompe l'oeil", then quite naturally lead to "Hyperrealism". He builds his paintings from photos and progresses slowly, (several months for a painting), thus giving meaning to the work and revaluing the creation carried out with rigour and patience. Painter of reality he pushes his representation to the extreme and questions us about the nature of it. He does not tell the spectator how he must feel this representation of reality, he simply affirms that this reality exists and that it is worth looking at with attention and tenderness. Its ambition is to magnify the banality of everyday life.

Après avoir exposé plusieurs années à la Galerie «Naïfs et Primitifs » au cœur de Saint Germain des Près à Paris, Bernard PRILLIEUX prolonge sa quête du réalisme pour, en un premier temps, aborder le « Trompe l’œil», puis tout naturellement aboutir à l’«Hyperréalisme». Il construit ses tableaux à partir de photos et progresse lentement, (plusieurs mois pour un tableau), redonnant ainsi un sens au travail et revalorisant la création effectuée avec rigueur et patience. Peintre de la réalité il pousse sa représentation à l’extrême et nous interroge sur la nature de celle-ci Il ne dit pas au spectateur comment il doit ressentir cette représentation du réel, il affirme tout simplement que ce réel existe et qu’il vaut la peine d’être regardé avec attention et tendresse. Son ambition est de magnifier la banalité du quotidien.
