Dominique Mulhem
Studied at the National school of the Arts of Paris. He teaches the techniques of painting to the airbrush.
His painting refers to pop culture art and Appropriation. His technique was at the beginning pop art with the use of the bomb and the stencil key sets. Later he became more hyperrealist with the use of the aerographer to forge a contemporary pointillism. He was the first multi-media artist, inventing in 1979 holopeinture where he mixed painting with holography. He had worked at the beginning of the 1970s on techniques of restoration of 3D. Beyond his representative forms, his painting is conceptual. The subjects are the life of people and things. Mulhem's work has the same main idea: the concept of the simultaneous vision. “The glance of the inside” as said Pierre Restany.
Mulhem a fait des études à l'Ecole Nationale des Arts de Paris. Il enseigne les techniques de peinture à l'aérographe.
Sa peinture fait référence à l'art et à l'appropriation de la culture pop. Sa technique était au départ le pop art avec l'utilisation de la bombe aérosol et des pochoirs. Plus tard, il est devenu plus hyperréaliste avec l'utilisation de l'aérographe pour élaborer un pointillisme contemporain. Il fut le premier artiste multimédia, inventant en 1979 l'holopeinture où il mêle peinture et holographie. Il avait travaillé au début des années 1970 sur les techniques de restauration de la 3D. Au-delà de ses formes représentatives, sa peinture est conceptuelle. Les sujets sont la vie des gens et des choses.
